How TU;MA Benefits Me

How TU;MA Benefits Me:

H- Having thoughts of suicide or dealing with severe mental illness is real. This is my story.

O- Open dialogues about mental health awareness can help everyone heal. TU;MA promotes this dialogue.

W- What people don’t realize is that there are numerous ways to effectively treat mental health issues. TU;MA provides a list of resources that you can “CHOOSE” from.

T- TU;MA has helped me develop compassion and understanding for myself. This movement has taught me to be informed and aware of my problems and how it can manifest.

U- Understanding what these mental health issues look like and how they can manifest from person to person is huge part of ensuring that those affected can get the help that they need.

My story continues…

M- Mental illness such as depression and anxiety can affect every aspect of a persons life as it did mine and unfortunately, this is a fact that many people are still not aware of today.

A- An AR”RAY” of skills and knowledge shared by TU;MA’s members helps me to be better equipped to help not only myself but others as well.

B-By becoming more aware of what symptoms and warning signs to look out for, you’ll be more capable of recognizing them in the people around you, allowing you to support them. TU;MA identifies with this as well.

E- Everyone can definitely heal by expressing their emotions with others. This is extremely beneficial for our well-being and TU;MA supports this cause.

N- Needless to say, it takes a lot of courage to speak about such an intimate and personal experience. TU;MA continues to empower me to seek the help that I need today.

E- Expressing how you truly feel gives others a chance to help you by guiding you through the most difficult times. TU;MA inspires me to share with those I’m comfortable sharing with today.

F- Focuses on providing help and reminders for many of us struggling with mental health issues; TU;MA motivates me even more today to continue my fight on my road to recovery.

I- It helps to reduce the stigma of mental illnesses and I like how TU;MA advocates to break the mental stigma that leaves so many people suffering in secret. This stigma comes from a lack of information and thankfully, TU;MA provides this valuable awareness today.

T- TU;MA’s movement supports the importance of speaking up and their website provides you with several resources to assist you in achieving the help that you need.

S- Spreading “RAY OF HOPE” messages to those in need makes me know that I’m not alone.

M- Makes me feel comfortable knowing that they are advocates not only for myself but for those who can’t advocate for themselves. The prevalence of mental health disorders continues to rise today and as more people are affected by these issues it only proves that I’m no longer alone in my struggles.

E- Exceptional movement! TU;MA offers an opportunity for people like myself who are struggling to learn more about our mental health and to discover safe places for us to talk about it and grow within ourselves. This is my story and it doesn’t end;
